1. Description of the Course
The course introduces the student to the first five books of the bible (Torah or Pentateuch)—its historical, literary and theological interpretation. It will begin with the presentation of the final form of the text (The Story of the Pentateuch), followed by an overview of the critical issues sorrounding each book, then selected texts relevant to the formation of future leaders of the church—seminarians, religious and lay—will be discussed.
