7. Course Expectations
7.1 Attendance is a must and graded according as participation. Late is marked absent.
7..2 Cellphones (mobile phones), tablets, ipads, and other electronic gadgets are not allowed to be used in class; special permission is needed if one is to use a laptop computer.6.3 Going out while the class is going on shall be marked absent. Use the break-time for necessities.
7.3 Late submission of a paper will incur a failing grade in that particular requirement.
7.4 There is no “make up” chance for a missed examination.
7.5 Cheating in examinations or in paper requirements (e.g. plagiarism) will also incur a failing grade in that particular examination, quiz, or paper work. If cheating is done more than once, the student will receive a failure for the final grade and will not be accepted in any course taught by this same instructor.
7.6 The use of inclusive language is highly encouraged both in oral discussion and in research papers.
7.7 The student is expected to come to class prepared, i.e., reading assignments are completed.


8. Consultation Hour: Friday 1:00 pm – 2:00pm at the Director’s Office, Arnoldus Library.
